Mysore VLOG #1: A day at Mysore Zoo =============================== Mysore Zoo (officially known as Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens) is a 157 acre zoo located near the Mysore palace in Mysuru, Karnataka, India. It is one of the oldest and most popular zoo in India. Zoo was created in 1892 at summer palace of Maharaja Sri Chamaraja Wodeyar. It was designed and set up by G.H. Krumbiegel, a German landscaper and horticulturist. The zoo was opened to the public in 1902. It currently has more elephants (total 10) than any other zoo in India. The zoo also has - 5 green anacondas (contributed by Colombo Zoo), Giraffes, Zebras, Lions, Tigers, White Rhinoceroses, Baboons, and numerous birds, amphibians & reptiles.
